See details below, always read the label.How To Use Anbesol LiquidFor Babies Teething and Children:

Do not administer if the child is under 5 months old.

Dispense a small amount onto a clean fingertip by holding the finger over the top of the bottle and gently tipping once.
Apply the product to the affected area using the fingertip.
Repeat up to three times if necessary, but no more than six times within a 24-hour period.
In case of vomiting, spitting out, or accidental ingestion of the medicine by your child, wait for 3 hours before administering it again.
Cease treatment once your child's symptoms subside. Do not use for more than 7 days per teething episode.

For Adults and the Elderly:

Dispense a small amount onto a clean fingertip by holding the finger over the top of the bottle and gently tipping once.
Apply the product to the affected area using the fingertip.
Two applications immediately should suffice to alleviate discomfort.
Repeat up to three times if necessary.
