How to Use Dioralyte
To prepare Dioralyte sachets, empty the contents of one sachet into 200ml (approximately 7 fl oz) of fresh drinking water for adults and children. For infants and in situations where fresh drinking water is not available, use freshly boiled and cooled water. The solution should be prepared just before use. If refrigerated, you can store the solution for up to 24 hours. Any solution left after one hour from reconstitution should be discarded. Always ensure that you reconstitute Dioralyte with the specified volume of water, as a different dilution may lead to an electrolyte imbalance.
Infants up to the age of 2: One to one and a half times the normal 24-hour feed volume using Dioralyte solution prepared as directed above. If the illness is not improving within 24-48 hours, consult your doctor. When vomiting is present with the diarrhea, it is recommended that small amounts be taken frequently.
