Additionally, the cream comprises inactive ingredients including cetylstearyl alcohol, white soft paraffin, macrogol cetostearyl ether, isopropylmyristate, benzyl alcohol, and purified water.For adults, seniors, and children over 12 years old, typically, one tube (30g) is recommended for use. Some adults may require an additional tube to cover the entire body, but the total amount used should not exceed 2 tubes (60g) per application.Instructions for Applying Permethrin CreamFor adults and children over 2 years old: Spread the cream over the entire body except for the head and face. Pay special attention to areas such as between fingers and toes, under nails, wrists, armpits, external genitalia, breasts, and buttocks.For the elderly: Apply the cream all over the body, including the neck, face, ears, and scalp. Focus on areas like between fingers and toes, under nails, wrists, armpits, external genitalia, breasts, and buttocks. Avoid applying near the eyes.General Application Guidelines: Apply Permethrin cream on cool, dry skin. Avoid using it on broken skin or immediately after a hot bath or shower.Once applied, leave the cream on for at least 8 hours and wash it off with soap and water within 12 hours. Reapply Permethrin Cream to the hands if they are washed with soap and water within 8 hours of application.Typically, a single application of the cream is sufficient to treat a scabies infection.Permethrin Cream Warnings:Avoid using Permethrin Cream if you have an allergy to permethrin, other pyrethroids or pyrethrins, or any of its ingredients.Special Precautions:Take caution as Permethrin Cream can cause fabric, including dressings, clothing, and bedding, to easily catch fire if exposed to naked flames. Keep away from fire and open flames while using this product.Interactions with Other Medications:Do not use Permethrin Cream concurrently with corticosteroid treatments like hydrocortisone, betamethasone, and clobetasone, commonly used for skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, or psoriasis. Corticosteroids may interfere with the body's natural defense against scabies.Pregnancy and Breastfeeding:Consult your doctor before using Permethrin Cream if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.Permethrin Cream Side Effects:While most individuals using Permethrin Cream may not experience side effects, those who do may encounter:Mild burning or stinging of the skin, usually transient. Following treatment for scabies, there may be temporary or heightened irritation, manifesting as redness, swelling, rash, or itching. Itching associated with scabies may persist for up to 4 weeks post-treatment with Permethrin Cream due to an allergic reaction to deceased scabies mites. This is a normal reaction and does not indicate treatment failure.
