Product Details

Ultra Chloraseptic Anaesthetic Throat Spray is designed to provide relief from sore throat pain. This product features the active ingredient benzocaine, which is classified under the group of medicines known as local anesthetics. It acts rapidly by numbing the pain associated with a sore throat. The product is available in spray form, with a swivel head applicator to facilitate direct delivery of the local anesthetic to the throat.

Suitable for:

This product is suitable for adults and children aged 6 years and over.

Age Restriction:

You must be at least 16 years old to purchase this product.

How to use:

• Please read the enclosed leaflet before use.
• For Adults and children 13 years and over:
  • Hold your breath and spray 3 times to the back of your throat.
  • Repeat every 2-3 hours if necessary.
  • Do not use more than 8 times a day.
• For Children 6-12 years:
  • Use only under adult supervision.
  • Do not use in a child who cannot hold their breath while spraying.
  • Hold breath and spray once to the back of the throat.
  • Repeat every 2-3 hours if needed.
  • Do not use more than 8 times a day.
• DO NOT use for more than 3 days consecutively.

Hazards and Cautions:

Do not use this spray if:

• You have difficulty breathing, noisy breathing, or severe difficulty swallowing. Consult your pharmacist or doctor if this applies to you.
• You are aware of your allergy to benzocaine or any of the other ingredients.
• You have been diagnosed with the rare blood condition known as methemoglobinemia.
• You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Do not use this medicine for children under 6 years of age.

This medicine contains a small quantity of alcohol (less than 0.006 units per spray) for dissolving the other ingredients. It contains propylene glycol, which may cause skin irritation.

If your sore throat is severe or prolonged, or accompanied by fever, headache, or nausea, consult a doctor.
