If you’re using Mounjaro and your weight loss has slowed down, don’t panic — this is a common and temporary phase.
Why Weight Loss Slows Down
After the initial pounds drop, your body begins to adapt to changes in appetite, blood sugar regulation, and calorie intake. Your metabolism may temporarily slow to conserve energy.
What You Can Do
1. Fuel Smart
Ensure you’re eating enough high-quality nutrients. Include lean protein, whole grains, vegetables, and healthy fats. Undereating can slow your metabolism.
2. Exercise Strategically
Incorporate strength training 2–3 times per week to maintain lean muscle and up to 5 timres for cardio exercises. This keeps your metabolism active and enhances long-term fat loss.
3. Track and Reflect
Monitoring your habits can uncover blind spots. Are you hydrating enough? Sleeping well? Moving consistently? Every small action counts.
Look Beyond the Scale
Weight isn’t the only sign of success. You may notice:
- Improved lab results
- More energy and mental clarity
- Clothes fitting better
- Better mood and less food noise
When to Get Extra Support
If the plateau lasts more than a few weeks, or if you’re unsure whether your approach is working, speak with your provider. They may assess whether a dose adjustment or nutrition tweak is right for you.
You’re doing great. Stay consistent, stay curious, and keep going.
