Description
What is Daktacort cream used for?
Daktacort cream serves as an antifungal cream designed to address irritated skin conditions like eczema and dermatitis. These conditions frequently result from fungal or bacterial infections. Additionally, it is employed to alleviate discomfort associated with thrush in regions prone to chafing, such as underarms, beneath the breasts, or the groin.
How does it work ?
The cream is designed for direct application to skin affected by fungal or bacterial infections resulting from conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, and athlete’s foot.
It provides relief in areas where skin friction may lead to irritation, such as under the armpits, in skin folds under the breasts, or in the groin.
It is important to note that it should not be used on the genitals or anus, as it contains steroids that may cause irritation to sensitive areas.
The hydrocortisone antifungal cream is not recommended for treating ringworm, as the steroid component may exacerbate the condition. For ringworm and fungal-induced nappy rash, anti-fungal treatments containing clotrimazole are advisable and effective.
